Contractor: Earthworks Excavation & Associates

Budget: $1,000,000

Project Description

The 7 Highway Water Line Replacement Project will replace a water line that has seen a series of leaks and breaks over several years, particularly north of Renee Lynde Drive.  The goal of construction will be to replace the existing deteriorating water line, which significantly reduces the chances of a water line break and helps eliminate unexpected water disruptions to customers in the surrounding area.  In addition to the water main replacement, the plans call for a water main extension to serve as a secondary loop to Highland Park and Glen Rae Manor subdivisions. The revised plans call for construction of 8-inch SDR-21 Class 200 PVC pipe to be installed from Wright Street to Timber Street along MO-7 Highway. Water relining will continue north of the project limits.

**Plans originally called for 4,800 lineal feet to be installed between Matthes Lane and Timber Street. This project has been scaled and water main relining will be considered north of Wright Street to minimize the impact of construction and the potential to provide more funding for water line preservation.
